Paikallisen invaasion roolin arviointi “harjoittelukenttänä” metastaattisen kelpoisuuden lisäämisessä (TrainMet)

Metastatic disease is the primary cause of death for cancer patients, and there is increasing evidence that it occurs earlier than we thought. Thus, TrainMet will use a new labelling approach to examine cancer cells as they breach and enter the vasculature, while also interrogating the changes in their cell membrane composition during metastatic dissemination. This increased understanding of the underlying process of dissemination will guide development of new biomarkers for metastatic disease.
