CELL-FLOW: Integrative analysis of cancer-endothelial-immune interactions in metastasis

Pancreatic cancer is highly deadly because its cells spread through the body. Using smart microscopy, microfluidics, and artificial intelligence-based image analysis, we will study how tumour, blood-vessel, and immune cells interact. Our work will reveal weaknesses in the metastatic process and provide knowledge to harness the immune system to prevent cancer cells from seeding distant organs. Our goal is to improve survival and quality of life for patients facing this devastating disease.
