INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING OUTCOMES TO RESEARCHFISH

  • Go to site https://app.researchfish.com/ and log in with your username & password
  • You’ll see all grants you are responsible for; at the top right, click “Begin submission process” (or “Amend submission process”, if you have already submitted at least once to this award)
  • To start adding outcomes to your award, go to the bottom of the page & click the dark grey button “Back to award details” -> you’ll get a summary page of your project
  • In the left column you see a list of outcome categories -> click, for example, “Publications” to start adding papers related to this award
    • PLEASE NOTE: all categories may not (yet) be relevant to your award, but we wish you to fill as many categories as you possibly can
  • To add a new publication to this award, click green button “Add new entry” -> the next page with title “Create new record” contains multiple tabs to fetch your papers from databases (Orcid, PubMed, etc.) -> select the ones relevant to this award, scroll down & click “Add to portfolio” (blue button)
    • You can also add publications manually: click the link “Can’t find your publication? Click here to add manually” -> fill in details -> click “Add to portfolio”
    • NOTE: you need to have each paper have a green “yes” activated in the column “In this award” to have it included to the award outcomes (older than start date of the funding period can be added to your portfolio, but they cannot be outcomes of the award.)
  • To add outcomes in other categories, select a new category from the pull-down menu “Displaying” (top of the page, dark grey) and proceed as you did with the publications (add new entry -> add to portfolio)
    • If you have something to report to us, but that particular outcome/explanation does not fit into any category, please use “Other Outputs & Knowledge/Future Steps” & type in your text (for example: no outcomes yet due to circumstances/delays)
  • When all outcomes have been added & selected to “in this award”, you are ready to submit:
    • Click “My awards” (top of the page) -> click “Begin (or amend) submission period”
    • The outcomes you have already added are shown here (when you want to review, click each category to expand)
    • When you are sure about your submission, you need to tick two boxes
      • blue background “I confirm that all of the information reported is accurate, complete, and up to date.”
      • pink background “I accept the above terms and conditions.”
    • Now you can click the red button “Submit to funder” – you are all set, you see text “An award has been queued for submission processing.”
  • Researchfish will soon send you an email confirming your successful submission.
    • NOTE: After the initial submission, you are able to re-submit by simply clicking the ’Amend submission’ button until the submission period closes.
