Travel grants 2023
Cancer Foundation Finland’s travel grants 2023
Cancer Foundation Finland and its various funds award travel grants for travel related to studies, meetings and presentations between 1 March 2023 and 31 May 2024. Grants are awarded to cancer researchers and other healthcare professionals actively involved in the early detection of cancer diseases, the treatment of cancer patients and cancer prevention work.
Priority will be given to researchers who are unable to receive funding from their employer for conference travel or who do not have any other funding from the Cancer Foundation.
The Cancer Foundation does not grant travel grants to applicants who, at the time of application, have a research grant awarded by the Cancer Foundation. In practice, this means that if an applicant has not received all the instalments of their research grant by the end of the application period for travel grants, they cannot be awarded a separate travel grant.
In 2023, the maximum travel grant awarded comes to 1,500 euros for travel outside Europe, 900 euros for travel within Europe and 700 euros for travel within the Nordic countries.
The Cancer Foundation does not award grants to researchers or research teams that have secured funding from the tobacco industry. The tobacco industry includes any company or group of companies that derives a major portion of its income from the manufacture or marketing of tobacco products.
The Cancer Foundation’s grants are applied for via the Cancer Foundation Finland’s electronic grant application system. The application form is filled in and submitted through an online system.
Applications are invited as of Wednesday 1 February 2023. The call closes by end of day on Tuesday 28 February 2023.
The application is processed as submitted by the closing date and may not be supplemented after the call has closed.
